NZ Tech Entrepreneurs Eye Middle East Expansion
A growing number of New Zealand tech startups are looking to the Middle East as their next growth market.
New Zealand's vibrant tech scene is increasingly looking eastward, with several Kiwi startups establishing offices in Dubai and Riyadh. Companies in agritech, edtech, and SaaS are finding receptive markets in the Gulf.
NZTE (New Zealand Trade & Enterprise) has opened a dedicated tech trade office in Dubai to facilitate partnerships. The agency reports a 60% increase in NZ-Middle East tech trade in 2026.
